In what appears to be a repercussion for his recent actions viewed by the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party as anti-party activities, the National Working Committee of the ruling party has suspended Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers state.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Olisa Metuh announced the suspension in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
Ameachi, only on Friday, by a whisker defeated his rival Plateau State governor, Jonah Jang by 19 to 16 votes to clinch a second term in office as Chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors Forum, NGF.
