The mother of the Grammy-winning Pop Star Bruno Mars has reportedly died of a brain aneurysm in a Honolulu, Hawaii, hospital on Saturday.
The 'Locked Out Of Heaven' hitmaker's 55-year-old mother Bernadette Hernandez passed away at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii on Saturday (01.06.13) after being rushed to an emergency room on Friday night.
Bruno Mars -- born Peter Gene Hernandez in Hawaii 27 years ago -- was just 4 when he began performing in his family's show as an Elvis impersonator. He has been very open about his love for his mother in the past and even wrote a song for her called "I Love You Mom", in which he refers to her as a ''superstar'' and ''my favourite girl.'' He also has Bernadette's name tattooed on his shoulder.
The report had it that, Bruno, who is set to kick off on his Moonshine Jungle world tour in Washington D.C. On June 22, has yet to utter any comment at hearing the breaking news.
