MAN FALL ASLEEP IN HIS VICTIM'S APARTMENT AFTER RAPE

A 19-year-old man fell into a deep sleep after raping a woman in her apartment in Johannesburg, Gauteng police say.

Warrant officer Xoli Mbele said the police accompanied the woman to her house after her report to fetch the suspect. 

"The woman, 30, claimed she was tailed on her way from the tavern. As she opened her door, he forcefully made his way inside with her and raped her. He immediately fell asleep afterward and the victim ran to the police station to make a report which led to his arrest", he said.

He is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
