Luis Suarez Banned : Fifa Handed Him Nine-Game Ban AND Four Month Football Ban

Chiellini was bit by Suarez during the second half of Italy's 1-0 defeat

FIFA has however reached a verdict and handed Luis Suarez a record of nine-game ban and a four month football ban after being found guilty of biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini, making the sanction the biggest ever World Cup suspension in history. Momentarily, we are yet to confirm if there will be room for appeal to allow him play in the subsequent World Cup matches.

However, Suarez sanction has now surpasses the heaviest sanction that Fifa has ever given out, being an eight-match ban that was imposed on Italy’s Mauro Tassotti for breaking the nose of Spain’s Luis Enrique during the 1994 tournament...
